Berlusconi, the Serie A side’s owner has made it clear that Ancelotti will come back to the club and replace FilippoInzaghi this summer if he is sacked from his duty at AC Milan. The Italian coach looks set to be sacked by the Santiago Bernabeu side after their last match of the season. It is also reported that Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has said he is contact with him.
The news of Ancelloti return to the Rossoneri has been widely discussed for several months, as his achievement to bring two European Cups as a player and a further two Champions League titles as coach. On the other hand, club president Berlusconi insists that he would be delighted to welcome the 55-year-old back to Milan which currently coached by FilippoInzaghi.
Real’s effort to defend their Champions League crown also failed following defeat to Juventus in the semi-finals, with the current coach, Ancelotti admitting afterwards that he did not know if he would be at the club next season.
According to the CEO, he still has a “strong personal friendship with Carletto.” This personal relationship may make the decision easier to be determined. It is also suggested that Ancelotti will terminate the contract with Real Madrid by mutual consent. As it is expected by Berlusconi, the return of the coach will be a positive comeback. If Real Madrid let him go from the club, then he will return to AC Milan.
A season without trophies is enough to put a Real Madrid boss under pressure, especially with Barcelona poised to claim the treble this term. The Italian coach is widely expected to depart Real Madrid this summer after the club were thrown to the La Liga title by Barca.
Ancelloti is one of the three managers being considered by Milan, alongside Antonio Conte and Sevilla coach Unai Emery. It is even suggested that Milan will provide a €150 million transfer fee to rebuild the side.
