Arsenal’s dream to outrun Manchester City as the leader of the Premier League has been destroyed, following their 1-1 draw result with Tottenham Hotspur during the weekend right after Manchester City drew 0-0 with the Aston Villa. It was the first time for Manchester City’s new boss, Remi Garde to command the club and make it leading with 26 points from 12 matches. Arsenal has exactly 26 points too, however it has a better goal difference.
Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger admitted that it was a very intense game, all the players were armed themselves with high mental response and determined to win the game. They started the game brightly, however after 32 minutes Tottenham responded elegantly and ended by Kane making a nice finish after chasing Danny Rose’s long pass and defeat Petr Cech.
Tottenham remained dangerous after the break, but Petr Cech made impressive moves by overthrowing all threats made by Kane, Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderwereld.
The game concluded when the keeper for Tottenham, Hugo Lloris saved his goalpost from Costa Rica striker Joel Campbell. However, Gibbs sneaked in at the back post to receive ball passing from Mesut Ozil dan bounced it past to the Frenchman keeper who did not expect if it would happen so fast.
Tottenham’s boss, Mauricio Pochettino felt very proud of his players, he believed they all have played very well.
