Francis Coquelin, the Arsenal’s midfielder will be absent for at least 8-10 weeks due to knee injury. Coquelin’s knee ligament suffered damage during the weeked match at West Bromwich Albion.
The Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger is still hoping that Coquelin will return back to the field faster. Everybody are now waiting for the scan result on early next week.
This last injury news has been a quite big blow for Arsenal since there were another five players who have been absent too: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott, and Danny Welbeck. Meanwhile, Arsenal’s position in the Premier League table is currently at the fourth position, only two points lagging from Leicester City.
Wenger has reserved some players to replace Coquelin’s position, such as: Mathieu Flamini and Calum Chambers.
Due this injury, Coquelin will surely not able to attend the important matches against the Manchester City on the third weeks of December 2015, and will be away at Liverpool on second week of January 2016.
