An annual award ceremony in Barcelona, Spain on Monday announced Lionel Messi as La Liga’s Best Player of 2015. Along with Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo was also nominated by the committee, however Messi performed better during this season and win the award.

Both Messi and Ronaldo were named on the Ballon d’Or shortlist.

Beside named as Best Player, Messi is also awarded the Best Striker award. This is nothing new with Messi, he has received both award for six times.

FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique is also awarded as Coach of the Year. He has been recognized for his efforts for guiding FC Barcelona squad team to the peak position in the competitions.

The third man named on the Ballon d’Or shortlist is Neymar. He won the Best American Player award.

Sofiane Feghouli, the midfielder of Valencia awarded as the Best African Player. While Claudio Bravo the Barcelona’s goal keeper is awarded as the Best Goalkeeper.
