Thomas Muller has been reported to be in Manchester United radar for the transfer window like his teammate Bastian Schweinsteiger. However the Germany striker seems not interested in this transfer issue and prefers staying with Bayern Munich. Muller considers the attempt from other clubs which try to pick him as a compliment but he is more encouraged in continuing the contract with Bayern. His contract with Bayern still has four years to finish and Muller is not interested in terminating the contract right now.
Muller really has a great respect to big clubs which give an offer to him however he has no intention of leaving Bayern until his contract is finished. For him an offer means that he is a good player with quality of which worth chasing for.
“When a transfer request comes in, you automatically deal with it. A request from another big club is an honour and a telling reward that one’s performances are good. But I feel good at Bayern and my deal runs until 2019. It’s better to ignore speculation,” Said Muller to Bild.
Muller is a successful product of Bayern. He started his training in Bayern since 2000, he managed to break through the youth ranks to the senior setup in 2008. His seven years senior career with Bayern Munich is quite impressive with him helping the team to get four league titles, three DFB-Pokal trophies and one Champion League.
Muller shared his opinion of the football world nowadays where young players can hardly play for the club especially the clubs which want to have instant result. The clubs which prefer spending money to hire some quality players rather than developing and promoting the young players from the club academy will give lesser chance for their young players to start their career in the club.
“Who plays on the pitch for Bayern is ultimately decided by who is best for the team. However, getting recognition internally at a top club can perhaps be more difficult for a youth player. When you’re bought by a club, your performances become their responsibility as they’ve paid a lot of money for a transfer so they want to have faith in you.”
“On the other hand, if you’re already at a club, the club can often just assume you’ll stay there. I don’t find it hard to prove myself every season but maybe that’s because my position is so flexible. But very good, new players are brought in every season by Bayern and the race for a starting position starts again from the beginning.”
