There are two big clubs which are looking at the possibility of buying Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in the summer, they are Manchester United and Manchester City. Speculations and rumors over the future of the two Real Madrid players has been widely spread, especially given the difficult run of form the Spanish giants currently find themselves in, struggling their La Liga lead to Barcelona.
Being asked about the possibility of Ronaldo and Bale being teammates beyond the summer, Graham Hunter, Spanish football expert told La Liga Weekly podcast: “Beyond August is a very, very big question.” The uncertainty is because there is nothing to report now, concerning the fact that neither is Ancelotti sacked, nor is Ronaldo sold, nor has Bale decided to leave.
On the other hand, Hunter was quite sure that among the two Manchester clubs; both United as well as City, “have an opportunity to come and buy Ronaldo.”
The two players were having a harmonious start as teammate in Real Madrid since Bale signed for the club in 2013, while Ronaldo became the welcoming mate. However, cracks have begun to appear in the relationship of Ronaldo and Bale. This culminated in a bizarre reaction by Ronaldo when his mate scored in a match against Levante on Saturday (14/3). The Portugal captain threw his arm in the air in disappointment at his own earlier miss, rather than celebrate Bale firing in the rebound.
Ronaldo is thought to be considering his future at Real Madrid after the fans at the bernabeu turned on him and wanted him dropped despite already scoring 31 goals in La Liga. On the other hand, it is to Real Madrid’s detriment that the disharmony has extended to results on the pitch, as they lost their grasp on top spot in La Liga for the first time since November.
And despite the emerging reports that Ronaldo was looking to stay at Madrid until 2018, strong opinions argue that Manchester United have moved into pole position to sign the goal machine. It is also emerged earlier that Ronaldo could be available for £65 million. Some experts claimed that signing Ronaldo would bring Manchester United instant success and put them back on the map, despite the disturbing behaviors the player recently performed.
And there is no other questions for Gareth Bale. The former Tottenham Hotspur man is only going to get better. The Welsh wing wizard could be ready to consider his options about staying in Real Madrid or cutting-off his contract as he prepares to settle his child in school. And he would cost as much as £90 million.
Regarding the number of the transfer payment, both City and United could afford either fee. There is also no doubt Bale or Ronaldo would provide a major boost to any team that chasing the Premier League title.
